‘Burgundy™’ Sweetgum

Form:  Pyramidal to oblong round.

Size:  50 to 65 feet tall and a spread of two-thirds of its height.

Zone:  5 to 9.

Leaves:  Deciduous.  Leaves emerge as wine-red and turn to a lime-green with age.

Wine-red to deep purple in the fall.

Bark:  Grayish-brown and deeply furrowed.

Fruit:  Almost Seedless. Syncarp is 1 to 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

Growth Rate:  Medium to fast.

Description:   This selection was named for its beautiful new growth.  New leaves are burgundy to wine-red and transform into a medium to dark green.  A slender tree that makes this tree great for small spaces.  Additionally, this Sweetgum is seedless, no gumballs .
