Form: Large shrub or small tree with a rounded crown. Size: 15 to 25 feet tall and 10 to 15 feet wide. Zone: 3 to 9. Leaves: Deciduous. Grayish when emerging and changing to dark green in the summer. Fall color ranges from yellow to red. Bark: Smooth gray bark with longitudinal fissures. Fruit: Edible berries. Flowers: Perfect white pendulous racemes 2 to 4 inches long. Growth Rate: Medium. Description: Elegant spring blooms reminiscent of light feathery clouds. Clean summer foliage develops into a variable display of fall color. Berries ripen in late summer and are mildly sweet.
