Soil Preparations :  When preparing a field to be planted, the soil in the area is first sent in for soil analysis.  After analysis, we incorporate needed nutrients to address deficiencies.  Once the field has been readied with nutrients, we plow the area to a depth of 20-22”, and then go through the same area with a crosshatch pattern.  We continue the preparation by disking the soil 3-4 times and then finish by raking the area 3-4 times, creating a workable soil that is most conducive to healthy root growth and development.
